About Railway Road Quilts and Gayle Burns
I found the quilting world about 15 years ago when I attended a "quilt in a day" run by Christine Town-Tree Week. I have become addicted to quilting and find it such a relaxing thing to do and have met so many lovely ladies.
My first encounter with a Long Arm Quilter was when I had a dead line to have a quilt finished and knew I could not do it by hand or on a domestic machine. I was fascinated with these big wonderful machines and of course the computer side of it was calling. It was a bonus to have two interests meeting.

In July 2013 I retired from work, stole a corner of my husband's shed and had it lined out and bought my Gammill Long Arm Quilter from Karamu Quilters and away I went. The couple, Ross and Maria Munroe from Karamu Quilters have been great people to work with and extremely helpful.
So now I am in business and enjoying every minute of it, meeting all the ladies who come to visit with their quilts. I have made every attempt to keep prices as reasonable as possible as I aware of the investment in time and money that has already gone into a quilt by the time I see it.
It is so rewarding to see the look on the faces of satisfied customers as their quilts are enhanced with styles of their choice.
